Fresno Metro Ministry, a faith-based social justice organization that works to solve problems related to health care access, public health, air quality, hunger and nutrition, has an immediate opening for a Director to coordinate and administer its Hunger/Nutrition Program. This position is also responsible for developing grants for Program funding, communicating and collaborating with stakeholders, and providing administrative and operations support such as coordination of related meetings and events and program
activity tracking.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree, (Master's degree a plus), excellent verbal and written communication skills and proficiency in use of computers, including MS Office applications. Must have min. 2 years experience managing a significant program related to food access, hunger and poverty, and/or nutrition education with demonstrated ability to work successfully with diverse groups under deadline pressure. Must have exceptional presentation skills, a positive attitude with a "team player"
mindset, and the willingness to adapt to changing situations. Bilingual (Spanish or Hmong) preferred.

A small, growth oriented Fresno based energy services company that has competed successfully and profitably in the energy conservation business since 1983 is now poised to become an integral player in the green building movement needs a Controller to help expand the business in a relatively short time frame.
CONTROLLER
Reports to the COO, the controller will provide regular financial reporting as well as ad hoc reports as needed by Executive Management in order to make accurate, reliable and timely decisions. This position is very hands on and fast paced.
Tasks include but are not limited to:
· Maintain accurate records of all transactions related to accounts receivable and accounts payable
· Maintain and reconcile all general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries

· Adhere to monthly closing schedule and maintain detailed records for all accounts
Maintain accountability for all taxes
· Review and track capital expenditures, accounting for depreciation of assets
· Assist in the development of all operating budgets and financial projections
· Prepare monthly financial reports including an income statement, balance sheet, and other analytical reports as may be requested by CEO/COO
· Responsible for training and supervising all personnel assigned to the accounting department
· Provide information to outside accountants in order to prepare annual financial statements and tax returns
· Any additional assignments or duties given by the COO in the normal course of business.

Qualifications:
· College graduate with degree in finance/accounting.
· Minimum five (5) years practical accounting experience in a business environment. Must have extensive supervisory experience.
· Strong working knowledge of accounting systems and financial controls.
· High level of competency with spreadsheets.
· Proven capacity for accuracy and sound judgment
· Ability to motivate an accounting department and to interrelate with other department heads.
